Primary 4 Learning From Home Information. WEEK 9 & 10Hello boys and girls!I hope you are all well and enjoying the ‘not-so-nice’ weather, although windy walks can be so much fun! Time is flying by and its hard to believe that we are now approaching week 9/10 of Home Learning. I know from speaking with Mrs McCafferty, on a regular basis, that each and everyone one of you are trying so hard with home learning…. keep up this fantastic work! Parents, I would like to remind you that it is not compulsory for your child to complete each and every activity set for remote learning. The majority of materials uploaded have been taught in class this year and is a great revision opportunity for your child. However, you will have noticed that new topics of learning such as area, fractions, symmetry etc have also been included as the academic year progresses. Your child has been taught the relevant level for these areas in Primary 3 and the latest uploads are merely revision of these PLUS a little extra of Primary 4 level for those who would like to attempt it. Please do not feel pressured to ‘teach’ your child additional material if they find it too difficult. Let them ‘dip in and out’ of such new areas as they feel confident and happy to do so. As already stated previously, It is essential that I accommodate the varying ability levels of all pupils within my class in doing so I have provided additional/more challenging tasks for topics such as fractions. Please note I have uploaded various online tutorials, games and videos which may support your child during this time of remote learning. (Please see the next page for links)*Please continue to work on your homework packs and complete as much as you can.
