People are often put off by WordPress because it has been “tooted” as “blogware”, when in fact it is simply a CMS that can do just about anything you want, including a shopping site. One advantage is that it is the CSM with the largest user base (61% of market share at the end of 2011), so many themes, good internet discussions, etc. The interface is very easy to use:Dashboard is where content is set up as either pages (static, as photos) or posts (dynamic, as blog). Wysiwyg or html editor.You can acquire different themes (templates) and even muck around with frameworks, in which case knowledge of html, css, php is necessary.Appearance varies greatly depending on a theme and its respective capabilities for adjusting and tweaking (colors, photo sizes, titles, etc.)“Security in WordPress is taken very seriously, but as with any other system there are potential security issues that may arise if some basic security precautions aren't taken.” … “WordPress is updated regularly to address new security issues that may arise. These tips should never be ignored by someone who wants to post images online but do NOT want others to copy and use the images.
