The drainage, and sewer systems were over 30 feet deep at the deepest points, and excavation was done with triple boxes through a dense hardpan to the street connections over 1000 lf from the building. The slopes in the rear of the site were a combination of Gabions, and rip rap stone slopes for slope stabilization. On that site we installed over 750 lf of 72” diameter CMP coated and paved 12 gauge drainage pipe with an open box culvert transitioning into an existing box under Rt.202. The two projects combined allowed us to have an advantage with economy of scale in which our pricing allowed us to easily beat our competition however; our margins of profits expectations exceeded our own expectations. Access to the second floor was made easy due to the terracing requirement the site needed in order to build this facility. The site required rock blasting with a presplit face over 60 feet high and our blasting was done back and across the face in three decks. Utility construction was complicated due to the spaghetti we installed on the Federal Express site just up the road. The company was involved in a IPO in the NASDAQ stock market and presently is doing very well having eaten up 70% of the 13,000,000 dollar backlog we developed in the first year.
