Embedded Assessment 4.2?Option Four? Minecraft, Madness and MacbethThis choice is not for the faint of heart. Macbeth is one of Shakespeare’s darkest plays. The play has murder, madness, a ghost, witches, violence and swearing. In addition, you must navigate a Minecraft Edu (MME) world which takes you through an abbreviated version of the plot in which you must talk with characters who then reveal details of Macbeth’s fall into violence and madness. Some knowledge of Minecraft is preferable, but not required (we are not prepared to teach you how to play). There are tutorials available on YouTube. You’ve been warned! Use this link to open Macbeth Game on computer. will spawn in front of Macbeth’s castle and directly in front of Shakespeare, the narrator of the world, and the Ghost of Banquo, who teaches players about the literary devices used in Macbeth. After speaking with Shakespeare, you will get the writing task for the world. You will also get a camera and portfolio that you can use to get photos of the characters you talk to and briefly describe and interpret the information you get from each character in your portfolio. It is not necessary to use these items, but it can be helpful. You will then explore the world of Macbeth and talk to as many characters as you can find. (Attached you will find a document with details about each location, including the coordinates, in case you get lost.)As you explore the world, you will notice a counter on the right side of the screen. This counter will keep track of how many people you talk to and how many times you talk to them. By the end of the journey, you will have had access to 59 characters (all of these characters have names from Shakespearean plays). You can use the attached chart to keep track of who you have talked to. You are required to describe and interpret the information you get from the characters. You can do this in your game portfolio (which you then export) or in a separate word file that you create. Talk to as many as you can.
