A Read the article.

NIIHAU

[pic] Every year more and more passengers take their bags and passports, and fly to countries far away. Fifty years ago only rich people

could fly. Today there are more flights, and they are less expensive*. From Ben Gurion Airport, you can travel to

74 different cities in the world.

[pic] But there is one place you can’t fly to, and that’s the island of Niihau, Hawaii. Niihau is one of the eight large islands of

Hawaii. On the island of Niihau there are no flights, roads, cars or computers. Today the people of Niihau live the same way they lived

in the past. They catch and eat fish and other animals, and they speak Hawaiian,

a very old language. Not many people in Hawaii still speak this language.

[pic] One family, the Robinsons, own the island. They bought the island 153 years ago. It is very important to them that the island is

beautiful and special, like it was in the past. Bruce Robinson, a member of the family, talks with pride about the island. He says it is

a place of “peace and quiet.” As a result, the family made a rule that no one can travel to the island. So this is one flight you can’t

take from Ben Gurion Airport.
