Activities on offer at NJIRC 2017As part of the National Junior Indoor Rowing Championships, LYR provide a wide range of activities to keep young people engaged throughout the day and the opportunity to try something new. All activities are provided free of charge.INSIDE – Race FloorIAAF World Athletics Championships 2017The Local Organising Committee will be bringing their stand and introducing everyone to London 2017 and who we can expect to see – Lighting Bolt’s last ever major Championships will be in London! Find out more - limited tickets still available.NJIRC MerchandiseWe’ll be selling our NJIRC branded hoodies, caps and t-shirts – make sure you bring some cash – a percentage of proceeds goes back to help London Youth Rowing run NJIRC.Selfie BoothGrab your friends and get some photos in our NJIRC Photo Booth. Don some of the props and create a crazy image for our rogue’s gallery! Thames TidewayTideway will be running an engineering challenge for all you budding rowers – come along and test your stamina! Also Row 4 Results final will be held in this area.UEL Bull Pen (Race Floor)If you miss your race, make your way to the Bull Pen where you will have your race accurately timed by members of UEL Boathouse Crew. You won’t win a medal but you will get bragging rights! There will also be a chance to get top racing tips from these students and an idea of university life. CrewroomThe outdoor clothing brand will be selling their products inside near registration.Essex CCCWill be running cricket coaching sessions in the nets area – HOWZAT. They will be joined by Kent, Middlesex and Surrey CCC. They will be scouting for potential stars of the future.Lee Valley PaddlesportsThe Lee Valley is famous for the Olympic watersports – and they will be bringing their rafting and canoeing ergs for everyone to try something different – find them in the netted area.MezzanineThe London CheerleadersThe London Cheerleaders will be running sessions all day for everyone to come and learn a new routine. See them on the mezzanine.British FencingAn Olympic sport that not many can get to try, make sure you meet the team from British Fencing who are keen to see if any of you are good enough to make their team.Stage Hair and Make up/TattoosBack again, the CONEL Beauty School will attempt to cover everyone with their stage make up techniques including horrific injuries and trendy tattoos. Find them on the mezzanine. UK Anti-Doping Find out more about UK Anti- Doping and what they do with this interactive game with opportunities to win some rather special prizes. Laser TagThe concept of the game is simple - run around in a tardis-like maze trying to hit the opposing team with your laser gun without getting hit yourself. The scores are shown outside of the maze and the team with the most points wins! If you're looking for fun and excitement, this is the activity for you.Met Police Meet various divisions in the Met Police including Riot gear and dogs.
