A FOCUSED RESET

Each year in January, we seek God regarding His prophetic word for this ministry for the coming year. We believe the word His gives to be a mandate over this ministry, our co-laborers, and the friends of this ministry. In this newsletter, we share what the Lord has impressed on our hearts for the year 2021.

In recent months here in the United Sates, we have battled the world-wide pandemic, experienced political unrest, violent demonstrations, and national scandals. As we face the unknown future of 2021, we are anticipating even greater challenges. The words we are receiving from the Lord are: A focused reset.

The word “focus” was imbedded in my spirit some years ago when I was with my mentor, Dr. Morris Cerullo, in the San Diego offices of World Evangelism. We were completing an important ministry project when a terrible tragedy of national notoriety occurred in the home church which I was attending at the time. Dr. Cerullo repeatedly told me, “I know this is difficult for you, but we must remain focused on what God has called us to do.” And that is what we did. We asked God to remove the distractions, reset our attention, and help us remain focused on the task at hand. Despite the devastating circumstances, we were able to complete a project that is still impacting the nations today.

The word “reset” is used in computer terminology to indicate going back to the factory default by eliminating things that have accumulated on the hard drive that hinder its performance. As you enter 2021, allow God to reset your life and ministry, removing all the extra stuff, just like a computer reset: The “viruses” of life, the superfluous material, the junk that has accumulated from all that is going on in the world. Ask Him to reset your focus on your ministry and calling.

Jesus told His disciples, “Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest” (John 4:35). Some 37 years ago, this was the message that birthed Harvestime when we focused on the spiritual harvest of the world. We lifted our eyes to the fields, and that is where we must keep them focused as we enter 2021. We encourage you to do likewise, despite the distractions that may be going on in your nation, your ministry, or your personal life. Focus on what God has called you to do. Ask Him for a divine reset of your focus. Like the select warriors in Gideon’s time, you must remain vigilant. Don’t stoop down to the “brooks” of this world to drink of what is going on around you and allow opportunity for the enemy to attack while you are distracted. Keep your eyes on the task at hand (Judges 7:1-7).

This is our personal prayer for this ministry and for you as we enter 2021: “Oh Lord our God, let your sweet beauty rest upon us and give us favor. Come work with us, and then our works will endure, and give us success in all we do” (Psalm 90:17, TPT). We are hoping you will take this message of “focused reset” and ask God to further refine it in your own life and ministry:

“If you ask God to give you a special message for the opening year, one that will be made seasonable and real in every exigency of the unknown future, you will be surprised how faithfully He will fulfill His Word, and how fittingly the Holy Spirit will speak to you of things to come, and anticipate the real needs and exigencies of your life.” A.W. Tozer

As part of our Harvestime “focused reset”, we want to share with you our original statement of purpose to which we have remained true over the years and upon which we intend to focus even more intently in 2021.

Yours for the harvest,

Argis and Patricia Hulsey

The challenge given by our Lord is for laborers, men and women who know how to reap the spiritual harvest fields of the world for the Kingdom of God. It is to this purpose that Harvestime International Network is dedicated, to recruit, train, motivate, and mobilize a network of international harvesters capable of:

- Intercession for international spiritual harvest (Matthew 9:37-38).

-Articulation of the principles of spiritual harvest (2 Timothy 2:2).

-Demonstration of the principles of spiritual harvest (1 Corinthians 2:4-5).

-Communication of the urgency of the mandate for worldwide spiritual harvest: (Jeremiah 8:20).

-Mobilization of members of the Body of Christ to reap their appointed fields in worldwide, end-time harvest (Jeremiah 5:24).
