United Way of Northeast GeorgiaPosition: Director of Marketing and Engagement Position SummaryThis position develops the necessary strategies required to attract and engage new volunteers and donors, reach/exceed financial goals and build the United Way brand by driving traffic, revenue and educating the community about United Way of Northeast Georgia’s mission through multiple marketing channels. This role will develop and execute an integrated marketing strategy in line with the United Way brand that focuses on retaining and engaging with our existing donors and volunteers while attracting new ones. This leader will leverage their expertise to support and expand fundraising and share the story of our community’s impact on early learning and childhood development, workforce development and basic needs.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild alignment on engagement strategies that drive new donor acquisition and deepen relationships among existing donorsCustomize content and experiences to enhance the volunteer/donor journey with United WayLead strategy development and clearly define content distribution during particular stages of the donor/volunteer journey, with particular focus before and after engagement with workplace campaignsCreate new and innovative brand communication proposals based on historical information, current trends and experiences to help evolve and improve our regional brand recognition and impactLeverage and enhance existing data and analytics, and develop additional research and data sources as necessary to inform creation of fundraising strategy and engagement activitiesCreate internal communication pieces and presentations that are delivered to existing and potential donors and community partnersDevelop social media strategy and maximize content delivery by leveraging the necessary tools and partnershipsWhenever possible, utilize volunteer and intern expertise to execute on digital strategies, donor events, and volunteer engagement opportunitiesDesired ResultsImproved brand image and reputation across 12-county service areaIncreased revenue generation from current donorsImproved donor retention through online and in-person marketing strategies and engagement eventsImproved knowledge of the community and United Way Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate is passionate, proactive and strategic about telling United Way’s story across digital channels and media outlets and identifying game-changing platforms and methods for distributing and amplifying our message.
