It consists of a hybrid of group and individual work as will be discussed in greater detail below.Project scenario:You are a startup multimedia company, and you have been asked to present a proposal for a Video project to a number of potential investors and clients. You can choose one of the following topics:1- Welcome to the IS Department: This will be an introductory video to encourage prospective students to join the IS Department, giving them an inside look into campus life and what prospective jobs they can get after graduating. It should use narration, interviews shootings on location.2- Protecting Bahrain’s environment:This video will shed light on an environmental issue in Bahrain and what possible solutions can be given to the problem. It should use narration, interviews shootings on location.Group WorkCreate a group of 3-4 members and develop a proposal containing the following information:The script of the projectA detailed Project Plan covering the phases (pre-production, production and post-production) by using Microsoft Project or Excel with approximate dates and deadlines. A storyboard of your project including details of images and sounds used in the project.A finalized video of the projectThese points should be handed in as a written report and a CD of all the material created for the project. Each company is also expected to give a 7-10 minute presentation of their work.Marking criteria:Attendance and preparation for ALL follow up meetings. Follow up meetings will be held at the lab session every week, and missing a meeting or not being prepared for it is highly unprofessional and loses clients’ confidence in you completing the job. Missing a meeting will lead to losing a SUBSTANTIAL amount of marks.A detailed marking sheet will be handed out to students during the project.Individual WorkEach member of the group is required to design an A4 sized poster to promote the video project using Adobe Photoshop. The marking criteria for the posters will be handed to the groups during upcoming lab sessions.Posters will be printed and displayed during the company’s presentation.Individual Work must be handed in on separate CDs which must consist of the following:A Photoshop file on the final image (with layers DO NOT FLATTEN ANY IMAGES)The source files (photographs, downloaded pictures, scans etc.)A two Page report with some screen shots and brief explanation of which techniques were used in the poster.Best of Luck! ................
