How to Sign Up for Direct Deposit

Students expecting to receive a refund of a credit balance, after financial aid is applied to their tuition account and all charges are paid, are encouraged to sign up for direct deposit to their checking or savings account. Please follow the steps below to sign up for direct deposit.

1) Visit our partner, Heartland ECSI's website, to sign up for direct deposit and follow remaining steps below.

2) Click "Register Now"

3) Create and enter in a username and password that you will remember.

4) Click "Continue".

5) Fill in all of the requested information.

6) Select and answer the security questions.

7) You will need your Heartland key to connect your NLU school refund account with the login you just created. You should have received an email with the key in your NLU email account. If you cannot locate the email with the key, click on the web page link next to the red arrow (as shown below).

8) Enter in your NLU email address to have the Heartland key resent to you.

9) Complete registration and account connection by entering the Heartland key on the "connect an account" screen.
