CHAPTER 1

Something Christians and Non-Christians Have

in Common

Jesus said, "All authority has been given to Me in Heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age" (Matt. 28:18?20). In Mark's Gospel, Jesus said, "Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone" (Mark 16:15 nlt).

This is the command from Jesus Himself, often referred to as the Great Commission. Yet, whenever you bring up the topic of evangelism, people often cringe.

It's been said, "There is one thing that believers and nonbelievers have in common: they are both uptight about evangelism,"
