Accessing Compatibility Mode using Microsoft

Edge

OCeaN is not compatible with Microsoft new internet browser, Microsoft Edge. If you login to OCeaN using Edge (or any

other browser such as Chrome or Firefox) the menu options on the left of the page appear jumbled (see below) and are

difficult to access.

The following instructions walk you through opening OCeaN in Internet Explorer.

1. Open OCeaN using Microsoft Edge

2. Click the ellipsis (¡­) in the upper right of the screen

3. Select Open with Internet Explorer

Internet Explorer will open the OCeaN login page in a new window (you can now close the Microsoft Edge page).

4. Click the gear icon in the upper right of the Internet Explorer page

5. Select Compatibility View Settings

This opens the ¡®compatibility view settings¡¯ screen

6. Highlight the URL for OCeaN and click ADD

7. The URL appears in the ¡°Websites you¡¯ve added to Compatibility View¡±, make sure the checkboxes for ¡°display

intranet sites in Compatibly View¡± and ¡°Use Microsoft compatibility lists¡± are both checked, then click CLOSE.

This corrects the issue with the menu options on the left being jumbled.

When accessing OCeaN from this point on, you need only to repeat steps 1-3.
