Believe:To have confidence or faith in the truth

Matthew 1:21 (NLT) And she will have a son, and you are to name Him Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.

King Herod

Matthew 2:3-4 (NIV) When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him. When he had called

together all the people¡¯s chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the Messiah was to be born.

Herod believed Jesus was a threat

Mary

Luke 1:29 (NLT) Confused and disturbed, Mary tried to think what the angel could mean.

Luke 1:34 (NLT) Mary asked the angel, ¡°But how can this happen? I am a virgin.¡±

We can fully believe without fully understanding.

Mary believed Jesus was the Savior

Every belief requires a behavior

the angel left her.

God knew, without Him, we would still lack.

Christmas is a reminder of who we have

Luke 1:45 (NLT) You are blessed because you believed that the Lord would do what He said.

Matthew 16:24-25 (NLT) If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and

follow me. If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.
