FORMTEXT Based upon my pre-assessment, students know how to describe themselves, but they do not know how to use similes or metaphors correctly. Students also don't know the difference between similes and metaphors. This lesson will teach students these concepts. Students will need to know how to use adjectives to describe themselves. How will you design the lesson to meet the needs of all learners in your classroom? FORMTEXT This lesson will begin by showing a YouTube video. This will help get my students interested in the lesson and introduce the concept to my students. By asking students to assess themselves after watching the video, I will know what concepts I need to teach more. By having the students post their similes online to Padlet,I will be able to see how well the students understand and how much information has been learned thus far. By posting on Padlet students will be able to compare their similes to see what others have put together.
