Students will note whole, half, quarter and eighth notes on lines and spaces on the music staff using marker boards. PROCEDURE:Movement Warm-UpReview treble clef, music staff and rap, and the difference between line and space notes. Line and space note drawing activity – in partners, students will take turns with a staff marker board notating requested (by teacher or specific student) line and space notes (whole note in a space). Then, after hearing the magic word - meteor shower – students will show the teacher their board and earn a meteorite of their team. After the activity, clean up supplies and sit back down in front of rug.Re-explain line and space note post-assessment, and complete. Transition to odd and even teams for the beanbag toss to the music staff rug.
