SPELLING/PHONICS

Use the spelling activity grid in the homework folder for ideas to help practice your words.

Learn to use the spelling pattern: -ain, -ail, a-e, review, -ful suffix

***Individual Spelling List

Practice at least ten of the words on your individualized spelling list in the back of your homework folder. Do not take the word list out of the sleeve, please. You will be practicing this list until you are able to pass a spelling test and are able to use these words in your writing.

SCIENCE

Weather instrument project: Look at the ideas attached to this document for making a working weather instrument OR look online for other ideas. Make one weather instrument and bring it to class. Be prepared to test your instrument, share and explain how your instrument works. This project is due on or before Friday, January 26.

MATH

• Go to our webpage and practice math facts.

• Count backwards by 5s from different three digit numbers. (i.e. 345, 355, 410). It’s tricky!
