Teachers should assign writing tasks outside of class. A passing grade will be awarded upon successful completion of all tasks assigned by the teacher.Assessment MarkingStudents will receive written feedback on both their writing and speaking formative assessments. A passing grade will be awarded if the student has completed the formative assessment of the writing and speaking tasks.IELTS Exam: February 24, 2018Students are eligible to take the IELTS exam if all attendance and assessment requirements are met.Attendance PolicyAttendance is taken after the first five minutes of class. It is important that you come to class on time. If you miss a class, you should visit your teacher during his/her office hours to collect the materials used in the lesson. Absences are calculated for the course as a whole and absences from each component (Writing & Speaking and Reading & Listening) are added together. If your absences reach 15%, then you will not be able take the IELTS examination. It is each student's responsibility to keep track of his or her absences.? Failure to do so will not be considered a valid reason to excuse an absence.4 Absences5%Integrated Skills and Writing 8 Absences10%12 Absences15% FAStudents who have 15% or more absences will not be able to sit for the IELTS exam.Level 4 students can only take the IELTS exam twice (free of charge) through the University Foundation Program. ................
