The Ohio State women's soccer team travels to Iowa for a 2 p.m. ET Sunday contest against the Hawkeyes at Iowa Soccer Complex. The Buckeyes, sitting 10th in the conference standings with nine points, are two points back of Indiana, Northwestern and Nebraska with two matches left to play as the top eight teams advance to the Big Ten Tournament.

OHIO STATE OF LATE Ohio State earned a pair of draws last weekend in Columbus. The Buckeyes tied Northwestern, 1-1, Thursday night before a scoreless draw against Illinois Sunday afternoon. Maddy Lowe scored her first-career goal to get the Buckeyes on the board in the 31st minute against the Wildcats while Bailey Kolinski and Jordan Silkowitz combined for a clean sheet against the Illini, the Buckeyes' fifth of the season.

SCOUTING IOWA Iowa, receiving votes in the latest United Soccer Coaches poll, is 14-3-1 on the year and 6-3-1 in Big Ten play. The Hawkeyes, who lead the Big Ten with 2.39 goals per game, are paced offensively by Devin Burns and Natalie Winters, who lead the Hawkeyes with six goals apiece. Claire Graves has started all 18 matches in goal for the Hawkeyes, who have posted a 0.83 goals-against average.

MOUSSET, RODRIGUEZ 2019 CAPTAINS Senior Marike Mousset and junior Izzy Rodriguez have been named captains of the 2019 Ohio State women's soccer team, head coach Lori Walker-Hock announced Aug. 27.

Mousset, now in her second season as a captain of the Buckeyes, and Rodriguez both are in their third season serving in a starting role for Ohio State.

BUCKEYES FOURTH IN B1G POLL Ohio State was selected fourth in the Big Ten Preseason Coaches' Poll, the conference office announced Aug. 19. In addition, Alyssa Baumbick, Izzy Rodriguez and Jordan Silkowitz were named the Buckeyes' players to watch.

Penn State was selected first in the poll, followed by Rutgers, Wisconsin, the Buckeyes and Michigan in the Top 5.

RODRIGUEZ ON MAC HERMANN LIST Junior Izzy Rodriguez was named to the 2019 MAC Hermann Trophy watch list, United Soccer Coaches announced Aug. 1. Rodriguez becomes the fourth Buckeye, and the first since Paige Maxwell in 2011, to be named to the watch list for the award given to the Division I collegiate player of the year. ff Over her first two seasons, Rodriguez

played in 40 matches, including 39 starts, picking up first team All-Big Ten honors as a sophomore and third team All-Big Ten and Big Ten All-Freshman team laurels in her opening season. ff Rodriguez was a 2018 United Soccer Coaches first team All-North Region selection and 2017 second team Freshman All-American.

The Buckeyes hold a 16-6-1 lead in the alltime series with Iowa after winning the last five matches.

THE COACHING STAFF Ohio State is under the direction of 23rd-year head coach Lori Walker-Hock. The threetime Big Ten Coach of the Year has guided the team to 13 NCAA Tournament berths (2002-03-04-07-09-10-11-12-13-15-16-178), two Big Ten regular season championship (2010, 2017) and three Big Ten Tournament championships (2002, 2004, 2012). Her record at Ohio State is 254-174-49 and her career record, including two seasons at Kansas, is 267-197-50.
