I played my first tournament when I was 10 years old. I only started competing regularly in tournaments when I was 12 years old.In high school I was the first team tennis captain from 2016-2019. I have very good leadership skills but I am someone who is also able to follow someone else’s lead. I would describe myself as an all-rounder tennis player. I am able to attack from the baseline and I am also able to defend well from the baseline. My strongest shots are my volleys and my forehand. I am currently working on using my serve as a weapon. A weakness to my game would be my shot selection sometimes. I believe that I would be able to fit well into a college team because I am a team player and I am always willing to give my all to help the team I am apart of to do well. I have competed in tennis tournaments before. I also played soccer for my school before, so I am very familiar with being in a team.TEAM COMPETITIONS2012 I was part of a 4-player team for Gauteng U13s in the South African Summer Games where we won the tournament.2016, I played trials for Gauteng Central where I finished 6th. I was then part of the Gauteng Central U15 team that played the Inter Provincials tournament. We finished 3rd overall. I was selected to be part of the South African Schools team to go on tour in the UK.2017, I was part of the Gauteng U17s team, that competed in the South African Winter School Games. We finished 2nd overall2018 I was selected to be a part of the Gauteng Central U19As team to take part in the Inter Provincials tournament. We won the whole tournament. I was selected again to be a part of the South African Schools team for the UK tour.
