SwimEnergy Aquatics Pool Opening Plan In compliance with USA Swimming Guidelines for reopening on a limited basis due to the COVID-19 pandemic.-Only 25 people will be allowed in the facility at any time (includes coaches, swimmers, USA Swimming officials.)-Parents are to drop their child off and remain outside the facility. Parents are to remain in their vehicles if they are waiting in the parking lot. -Swimmers will be instructed to arrive no more that 5 minutes prior to their swim practice session. After practice, all swimmers must immediately go to their vehicles. Swimmers must be picked up immediately after their practice. -Swimmers will not be permitted to congregate in the parking lot before or after practice. Swimmers must wait in their cars until it is time for their practice to begin. -No one may enter the facility if they or their household family members have had symptoms of illness or are under quarantine per CDC guidelines.-Any person entering the facility will be screened upon arrival with temperature measurement and questioned for symptoms or exposure to COVID-19 and any with positive screen will not be allowed to enter until cleared by a physician.-If a swimmer becomes ill during practice, their parent will be contacted to pick up that swimmer immediately. -All swimmers and coaches and USA Swimming members must practice social distancing in the facility including the parking lot and adjacent area, and within the confines of the pool facility. Masks should be worn by all swimmers, coaches, and any others when they are not in the pool.-Only one person will be allowed in a bathroom at a time. -Swimmers will shower at home before and after practice. Swimmers must arrive and leave practice in their swim suits. One outdoor shower will be available only for emergencies. -Restrooms including toilet seats, sinks, faucets, handles will be disinfected by a USA Swimming member after every practice. -Swimmers will be instructed where to put their dry bag and supplies upon arrival. Swimmers must bring all their equipment with them and leave with all their equipment and are not allowed to leave any equipment at the pool after practice. -Swimmers should fill their water bottles before arriving at the pool and take them home after practice. Water bottles are not to be filled at the pool facility.-Water bottles, goggles, snorkels, towels, clothing, masks and other personal equipment are not to be shared under any circumstances. -Swimmers will be assigned a lane with both ends used with one swimmer per lane at each end of the pool. Siblings living in the same household may swim in the same lane space. This will be the only exception. Any swimmers or parents not adhering to these policies will be directed to leave the facility immediately and will not be permitted to return until the coaching staff can determine that their cooperation is assured. The health and safety of our swimmers and staff is of utmost importance. We will do whatever is necessary to make our swim team environment safe for all concerned and are willing to work with Lee County Parks and Recreation Department and USA Swimming to achieve these goals.
