RACHEL STAHLER, CIO, inVentiv Health

Rachel Stahler is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of inVentiv Health. She brings nearly two decades of global technology experience in the pharmaceutical industry to the company.

As the company's technology leader, she partners with colleagues in the Clinical and Commercial divisions to create faster processes, better practices and smarter systems that help accelerate our clients' success.

Rachel joined inVentiv Health in July 2014, serving as Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer for the company's Clinical Division. In this role she led a strategic realignment of the Division's technology portfolio to focus on imperative business priorities including study start up, investigator identification and trial monitoring and documentation.

She became CIO of the entire company in September 2015, combining the previously unaligned Corporate and Clinical technology organizations and driving enhanced coordination with Commercial IT teams -- focusing the energy of IT staff across the company on improving the technology employees rely upon each day and aligning IT resources with business priorities.

Prior to joining inVentiv Health, Rachel served as Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President of Marketing at Optimer Pharmaceuticals. In this role, she combined her expertise in a broad range of information technology disciplines with her passion for bringing innovative new treatments to patients in need.

Rachel also spent eight years at Pfizer, Inc., where she held senior level roles in its pharmaceutical and diversified businesses, including technology lead for a Global Center of Excellence for a significant business unit and global technology leadership positions for sales, marketing, market access, strategy and multiple therapeutic areas. She's also been a consultant at PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

Rachel holds a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Business School where she graduated with highest honors and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated summa cum laude.
