Extra credit is to be used to help boost your grade and not to make up for missing work.Service Learning: Public law 30-53 Mandates service learning as a requirement for high school graduation. Students are required to accumulate a total of 75 hours throughout their high school years. In our class we will be participating in cultural exchange with students from Japan and students in Spanish will be required to participate in at least one of these cultural exchanges. Before the exchange they will create a mini lesson (teach the exchange students a dance, how to make a pi?ata for example, how to make a taco or quesadilla, how to introduce themselves or teach them a song) the students will plan ahead and get approval from me first. Please check the following website for other service learning projects available on Guam. Final Thoughts:I look forward to working with all of you (parents and students). My class is always open to visits but please get pass from the office. If you should have any questions please contact me at school or via email on top of this syllabus. Parents also should request Parent Portal log in from the office. The Parent Portal allows you to see your child’s grades, assignments and attendance for all classes. We also have implemented a time for those who need tutoring GI-WII. I am also in my class during most breaks and lunch and students can come see me during those times also if they need help.
