Guidelines & Ideas

The responsibility of table decoration is left up to the individual(s) that purchased their table.

They may be themed, simple or elaborate. Please view photos below for additional table

decorating ideas.

60 inch round tables provided ? NO tablecloth will be provided. You may want to create a topper of any size using your colors (optional). Fabric typically comes 54 inches but if you wish to have a complete square, then purchasing 1 ? yards is recommended. Fabric is available at Hobby Lobby and JoAnn Fabrics.

8 chairs provided (the red chairs at school) ? you can decorate your chairs with material, t-shirts, bows, pillowcases or leave them undressed (optional). Idea - Tulle is a relatively inexpensive way to make a bow for back of chairs.

Decorations/Centerpieces ? based on your theme ? remember there are Bulldog Bucks for the best. Idea - Tulle or organza fabrics work well bundled in the middle with your centerpiece resting on it. Suggested decorations for your table are picture frames with your senior and friends/family, items that reflect your senior's interests, clubs, awards, college, etc. Feathers, ribbon and fabric make great adornments. Let your imagination flow! Confetti and Candles are not allowed in the cafeteria. Suggestion ? bring your decorations in a laundry basket that we will store until after the event. Must be within FBISD school policy.

Dinnerware - plastic, glass, or china (optional) ?A clear acrylic plate will be provided as dinner is not served directly on the china you bring. This is done for easy clean up. If you are concerned about breakage, we found that using plastic chargers work well. They come in multiple colors and can be purchased inexpensively and decorated with paint pens and glitter.

Napkins/Plastic ware ? Our caterer will provide plastic eating utensils and paper napkins. If you'd like nicer forks, knives, spoons and napkins, then providing your own is optional.

Glassware ? Our caterer will provide a plastic cup but glassware is optional for you to bring. Caterers will not refill your drinks, so you will want to bring a permanent pitcher at your table.

Side Table ? you many want to bring a TV tray or a side-table for extra items you will need for serving your guests.
