Go directly to my assigned seat, 2.) Get out everything I will need for the class period, 3.) Turn in any assignments or absent work, 4.) Read the board and write down the assignments in my Panther planner, and 5.) Silently work on my Warm-up activity. (This is NOT a good time to conference with the teachers as they have designated requirements at the beginning of each period.) *Passes…All students must use the restroom or get a drink of water/fill water bottles during the 4-minute passing between class periods. You MUST talk to your teacher during passing before you use the restroom if you do not believe you can use the restroom within the 4-minute passing period. Otherwise you will receive a tardy. You may not go to your locker during passing. If you forgot something, you go to your next class. After the bell rings, you can ask for a pass to your locker. You have THREE passes total per week, not per day, and not per class, to use during a class. They may be used to go to the bathroom or to your locker. You may ask for a pass during a work time, but not during instruction. You do not get extra passes, so use them wisely. *Preparedness…All students MUST come to class prepared to work. Items necessary for class: Positive attitude, pencils, erasers, extra lead, paper, binder, workbook, completed assignments, and resource materials. Students not prepared for class will receive a lowered Work Ethic grade for that period. *Absence policy…The State has a new policy regarding absences. All absences are considered unexcused and do count, no matter why a student misses school, toward the 10% maximum of missed days. Students are still able to make-up work from missed days. The time period for making up your work begins when you receive the assignment. It is the student’s responsibility to come get the make-up work. The Make-up policy is as follows: You will have however many days you were absent plus one day to make-up any assignments or tests that were missed due to your absence. Example: If you miss Monday and return on Tuesday, you will have Tuesday and Wednesday to complete missed assignments and to come in at lunch with your lunch to make-up tests. Assignments need to be turned in on Thursday, and tests need to be made up by then as well. If you do not meet this deadline, then your absence will stay on your record toward possible retention. It is the student’s responsibility to go to my website or to Microsoft Teams to get the missed assignments. If there is a separate handout, the student needs to come get it upon return from the absence. I am in my classroom at lunch every day. Note: According to the State, if you have more than 8 unexcused absences, you are at risk for being retained the next school year. If you have 18 unexcused absences, the policy states that you can be retained.*Late/Missing work policy…Deadlines are a very important Life Skill. It is imperative that students complete and submit ALL assignments on-time. (Note: Missing and Late assignments will be scored as a zero in the grade book.)Students are REQUIRED to complete any missing assignments even though credit is not given because they are pieces to bigger assignments (i.e. A Math assignment is preparation for a test). Copied assignments will result in a 0% for both parties as well as a note in the grade book to inform parents/guardians and Administrators.*Checking Infinite Campus…Students and parents are required to keep track of student grades by checking Infinite Campus at least once a week. If you do not have access to the Internet at home, students can use a computer on campus, at the local Washoe County libraries in town, or there is an app for your phone. *Assignments…All papers/assignments should be labeled correctly and all work shown (credit will not be given to assignments that just have answers listed)…-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Heather MarkhamMath per. 410/24/18-952517780000pp. 526-527 #7-14; 25-27-952592075000171450007.) 8.)-952592075000171450009.) 10.)-95259207500017145000-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------*Grading…(grade percentages are not rounded)90%-100% A80%-89% B70%-79% C60%-69% D 0%-59% F1.)
