The course credit must be populated with the credits attempted for the Course-in-Progress.When should a district send out Talented Twenty Program Award Letters?The Talented Twenty Program is a State University System first-time-in-college admission designation. Because of this, the Board of Governors Office will forward a letter to districts that will indicate a student’s potential eligibility. Districts will receive the letter after the system has been closed and FDOE updates the addresses of awardees in the system for the current Talented Twenty Program year. At that time, students may be notified.Can a district and/or school submit the 8th Semester Transcript for Talented Twenty Program award evaluation?No, the Talented Twenty Program award evaluation is based only on the 7th Semester.How can I access the start and end dates for the Talented Twenty Program Admission period?The program will start on February 1, 2019 and end on March 25, 2019. This information can be found in the Talented Twenty Program Technical Assistance Paper (TAP) for each current year.A course was submitted for the Talented Twenty Program Evaluation but was rejected.The course must adhere to the State University System’s subject area requirement Business Rule. Once a student has been notified that he or she may be eligible for the Talented Twenty Program and has applied to at least three state universities and been denied at all, high school counselors should contact the Board of Governors Office at BOGinfo@ for a courtesy review of the student’s transcript and test scores.Once transcripts are submitted, where should I check for results?Within 48 hours after transcripts are submitted, district are able to check its status on the following website: any course issues are found, the district/school is required to resolve and resubmit prior to the Talented Twenty Program deadline.What is the appeal process for a student?A student is expected to have applied to at least three state universities, hopefully earlier in the year. If he/she is accepted at any state university, then the guarantee is met. If denied at all, the student should contact his/her guidance counselor. Once verifying that the student is indeed eligible for the Talented Twenty Program (by ensuring that all three sections of the placement or admission test meet college level ready), the counselor who will then contact Board of Governors Office at BOGinfo@flbog.edu, requesting a Talented Twenty Program appeal. A Board staff member will establish a file folder for the student’s information on a shared drive and provide the counselor with information to upload an unofficial transcript and test scores. The counselor should also include a new coversheet (see question 5) so that the admission directors have contact information for the student and counselor.Once uploaded, state university admission directors will conduct an informal review of the information. Dependent upon the timing of the appeal, the student may ultimately be admitted fall, spring or summer to a state university. The counselor and student will be notified. ................
