If a worker has a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19 our farm has implemented the following provisions for worker self-isolation:If an employee has common cold or influenza like illness or symptoms compatible with COVID-19 they must self-isolate at home for a minimum of 10 days from symptom onset AND ensure their symptoms, including fever, have completely resolved.If an employee has common cold or influenza like illness or symptoms compatible with COVID-19 (fever, cough, shortness of breath) and is hospitalized, or the employee is identified by public health as a person who is part of a cluster or outbreak, arrangements will be made for a COVID-19 test: If an employee tests positive for COVID-19, they must self-isolate on site or in separate accommodations/hotel for a minimum of 10 days from symptom onset AND ensure their symptoms, including fever, have completely resolved.If an employee tests negative for COVID-19, they must self-isolate at home or in separate accommodations/hotel until their common cold or influenza like symptoms have completely resolvedWe will ensure workers adhere to physician’s advice and current BC Center for Disease Control guidelinesWe will report the case to WorkSafeBC if it is believed to be a workplace acquired infection. This claim report will be subject to WorkSafeBC’s reviewWe will identify and isolate any areas that may have been contaminated by the infected worker. The identified work area will be cleaned and disinfected as per COVID-19 disinfection guidelinesEmployers who Provide Accommodation - Worker Self-Isolation Plans: On-Site IsolationLocation:Facility:Worker will stay in one of the following facilities for self isolation period:A separate room/section of living quarters and use a separate bathroom from others and a separate entrance.A tent, along with porta potty and mobile shower or other washroom facility allocated only for isolated worker.A travel trailer with all hookups required for restroom facilities and food preparation.A separate shower/toilet will be designated and cleaned immediately following use;Worker will have zero contact with other workers in the living quarters;Food and necessary supplies will be provided to worker using zero contact method; We will provide the ability to connect with others in society remotely though phone or the internet; Affected worker will not leave designated “isolation area” unless it’s to seek necessary medical care. Workers will be checked on a minimum of twice daily to ascertain if medical care if required.Hotel IsolationOur farm has made arrangements with the following hotel for workers with presumed or confirmed cases of COVID-19.Hotel Name:Hotel Location:Systems will be put in place to ensure workers are able to purchase food and personal supplies without leaving the accommodations (e.g. there are telephones or internet available). Oversee the manner in which workers are transported between their accommodations and worksite to ensure that workers are transported in such a way that it limits the risk of transmission of COVID-19 between worker(s) and the driver to the extent practical;We will provide the ability to connect with others in society remotely though phone or the internet Food and necessary supplies will be provided to worker using zero contact method.Hotel will be confirmed to provide accommodations that provide separate showers and toilets to each room for allocation only to the isolated worker.Affected worker will not leave the accommodations unless it’s to seek necessary medical care.
