IBMYP Objectives: The student will be able to
-analyze and interpret information from a range of sources
-identify relevant questions, problems and issues
-compare and contrast events, issues, ideas, models and arguments in different contexts
Your final copy of your American Revolution analysis essay should be either typed or written neatly. Your rough drafts/outlines should be stapled behind the final copy as well.
Your paper should answer the following question: To what extent were the Americans justified in fighting a war to break away from Great Britain?
Make sure your essay answers that question! Be sure to use your DBQ’s as a primary source support. Do not use reflexive pronouns that refer to yourself or the reader: I, you, me, we, etc. Remember to write what source you used in parenthesizes. (Document 1)
Your paper should include the following:
-A stated thesis explaining which bias you picked and why
-Introduction, Body, Conclusion
-Supporting statements to explain your thesis
-At least 1 primary source and 1 secondary source to support your argument
-Correct punctuation, spelling and grammar
