Inserting a Table into Microsoft WordNovember 192012 Introductory Assignment for grades 3 & upAssignment: Inserting a Table into Microsoft WordGo to the Insert Table and click on Table. Select the number of squares you’d like in your table by dragging your mouse over them and holding down the left mouse button, until the correct number of squares is highlighted. For our assignment, please make sure that 9 squares are selected. Once 9 are selected (highlighted), let go of the mouse button. Make sure your cursor (blinking line) is in the first square of the table. Then, click on the Insert tab at the top of page. Next, click on Clip Art. In the search bar that pops up on the right, Search for pictures of 3 things that you really like. You must have 3 pieces of clip art in your table. Please be sure each piece of clip art is in a different square. Please also make the clip art smaller as needed. For the next 3 squares, you will type one word or phrase in each square that describes you. For the last 3 squares, type one thing in each square that you like to do in your free time at home. After all 9 squares have been filled with the required information and clip art, you can now make things “fancy”. To do this, you must first highlight what you want to change, with your mouse. You can make the font a different style, color, and size. Make sure it’s readable! Please make sure you type your name somewhere on your assignment. After you have finished doing all of these requirements, you may also insert a Page Border or a Page Color if you want to. These can be done through the Page Layout tab at the top of the page. Don’t forget to SAVE your work!
