People describe her poems as lyrical and unique.Today we will learn a little bit about this author and will work with this Poem in a creative way. With today?s activity we want you to exercise the following skills: Interpretation: Let us see if your creativity and inspirational buttons are ON and if you are able of telling us what you think the poem is about and if you can identify the figurative language Dickinson uses in the poem.Listening comprehension: You must be able to identify the missing words in the poem in order to fill in the blanks while listening to the it.Spelling: It?s important to understand the meaning and context of the poem and for you to be able to identify the words but it is also very important to know how to write them correctly. To do today?s task you must follow these instructions. You must go to Classroom and open the task available for today. It is a Google Form that has everything that you need. It divided into sections:Emily DickinsonFill in the blanksPut your knowledge into practiceYou cannot jump to the following section unless you complete the previous one. You must therefore go in order. Section 1: Listen to Emily Dickinkson?s brief biography ONCE and answer True or False to the first questions on the Google Form. Once you finish, you will go to Section 2.Section 2: There is a video with the poem interpreted very nicely by a young lady. Listen to it ONCE and try to identify the missing words from the poem. Before pressing play, TAKE A PIECE OF PAPER AND A PEN so you can write the answers as it goes. Do it on paper first and type your answers after. There is no rush to finish. If you try typing the words directly to the Form, you are going to get lost. Once you type them, you can go to Section 3. Section 3: Play the poem again and try to understand what the author is talking about. You must be open minded and with your creativity and imagination ON. It is important to be able to identify what the main idea of the poem is and what type of language does the author use. You will have to answer a couple of questions regarding this on the Google Form. Play it twice if you need to. Don?t forget to press SUBMIT!You DO NOT have to upload anything to Classroom, you must ONLY SUBMIT the Google Form that you will access through Classroom. Once you press submit you will be able to see how well you did and in case you had wrong answers, there will be a little explanation with the correct one so you can learn a bit more.
