Pump Maintenance

The two-day course is aimed at those involved with centrifugal pumps at the operational and maintenance part of a pump’s life. It will cover the basic understanding of how a pump works, it component parts and their requirements for satisfactory operation. Bearings and mechanical seals will be covered in detail. Use will be made of portable Perspex pump rig to show pump characteristics and how faults and maloperation can cause problems. Maintenance systems will be covered to show how this can help cost control and monitor the areas needing improvement

Condition monitoring and other techniques will be discussed to indicate how these can improve pump life and performance.
