Job description for Operations ManagerJob Title: Operations ManagerReporting to:ChairmanSalary: Pro rata of ?30,0000 full time equivalentBenefitsEmployers pension contribution 3% of salary, holiday entitlement prorata of 20 days full time equivalentHours: Part time 20 hours per week Location:Virtual role but there is a preference for candidates to be located in or near the Boroughs of Richmond and Kingston as our activities take place in Richmond and KingstonThe role:The Operations Manager is responsible for all operational organisational aspects of the ADHD Richmond and Kingston. The Operations Manager will work with service providers and volunteers and coordinate their activities. The Operations Manager will also work closely with our IT Manager and the Chair. In future the team will be further expanded, subject to getting the required funding. The duties:Coordinate all operational activities of the organisation which will involve the following tasks:Coordinating events organisationally Seminars - Arrange the twice monthly seminars (speakers, venues, recordings done)Coffee mornings / Drop in sessions (via zoom at moment) - Coordinate participants and volunteer facilitators Workshops and other seminars and training – Coordinate participants and service providers and other organisational aspectsCoordinating communications includingThe production of our fortnightly newsletterManagement of social media presence Regularly update content on the website. Managing the inbox and external correspondence Recruiting, vetting and managing volunteers including maintaining volunteers register Ensuring relevant policies and procedures are in placeManaging all other administration tasks, including dealing with insurance renewals, and attendance data and feedback on activities Managing the operations within the parameters of the budget as approved by the Board of TrusteesMake all regulatory filings eg Charity Commission, HMRC payroll and HMRC other tax filings eg income tax, gift aid, etcProducing reports for the Board of Trustees and attending regular Trustee Meetings as requiredSkills Required: The Operations Manager will be a graduate or school leaver with + 5 years’ experience with the following attributes and experience. Excellent communication skills andGood interpersonal skills and ability to working with a range of peopleSelf‐motivated and able to prioritise a busy workload using a blend of skills and experienceStrong organisational skills and creating structure in work routesAbility to plan for short and long term and ability to prioritise workload Strong IT skills (including Microsoft Office software)Familiarity with social media and website managementTime commitmentTwenty hours per week with some of the tasks requiring attendance at and working hours:meetings in the evening If you would like to apply for this position, please send a current CV (no more than two sides of A 4) along with a covering email outlining your relevant skills and motivation for applying.
