|Course Description |Management plays a vital role in the success of organizations. Business Management is an essential course for |
| |students of , and any other student who wishes to acquire the basic principles of management. The course |
| |content focuses on (a) management systems and processes and (b) various skills required by competent managers |
| |in order to effectively discharge their managerial responsibilities. |
|OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE |This course will enable students to: |
| |Understand the role of management and its importance to achieving organizational effectiveness. |
| |Know some of the management processes used in organizations. |
| |Recognize that organizations operate in a changing socio-cultural, political, legal, technological, economic |
| |and international environment. |
| |Recognize the primacy of organizational members the guidelines for action in areas such as planning, |
