IPads is a good example of technology to help students with disabilities to learn. There are many applications in iPads. Some of them are help students with visual impairment to transit the written words to verbal. For example: the TextGrabber. This application uses the camera and microphone to get the written word and iPads will read it out loud. Thus, students with visual impairment will know words in an easy way. IPads also helps the students with dyslexia and students with reading disorder to improve their oral language skill, by recording their voice for homework. Moreover, students with autism can use iPads to talk about their ideas and give a presentation at the place they feel good. Some applications also help students manage their time and they also can mark down what they need to do in iPads. Thus, they are become more independent. In addition, some students may be cannot go to school for some reason, they can also use iPads to study in class, like FaceTime with teacher during the class. IPads are really helpful for student with disabilities and they will continue to create more applications to help students study in a easy and better way.ReflectionMany students with disabilities really want to go to class and study like other normal students. They may feel sad sometimes, because they cannot do the same thing as normal students do. However, iPads give them a chance to make their dreams come true. As the technology comes in the classroom, teacher has to be familiar with those new technologies and rethink about the old curriculum. Teacher should teach in various ways and accept different forms of presentation. At this point, students with disabilities can do the same thing as normal students to use their knowledge to create what they think in their mind for a long time. They may do it better than normal students, because they are as great as them. Therefore, they will be proud of their projects and themselves and other student will look at them with a positive attitude. And they will be more confident.ReferencesRonayne, K.
