POSITION: STATUS: Full-time/Exempt Environmental Horticulture InstructorLOCATION:Waycross Instructional Site (Waycross, GA)SALARY: $45,000 annually. This is a full-time position, including a state of Georgia benefits package.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:A diploma from a regionally accredited institution, with coursework appropriate to the Horticulture field.Hold a current or must obtain within 6 months of employment offer the Georgia Commercial Pesticide Applicators certification.Have a minimum of two years’ experience in the field.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: (In addition to the minimum qualifications) Teaching experience in the post-secondary educational setting Georgia Certified Landscape Professional licenseIA – Irrigation CertificationISA – International Society of Arborist (Arborist Certification)JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:Under general supervision, responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing all aspects of instruction for academic environmental horticulture courses; developing course syllabi, goals, and objectives; evaluation of students' progress in attaining goals and objectives, preparing and maintaining all required documentation and administrative reports; attending staff development training, workshops, seminars and conferences; assisting in academic support services, including advisement and tutoring, and attending graduation events.
