|JOB SUMMARY |

|Under general supervision of the IS Project Management Director or Manager, the IS Project Manager is responsible for the end to end execution of projects defined in |

|the IS Systems Plan. These projects are typically small to medium in size and of moderate complexity that implement technology solutions to support UW Health’s business|

|goals. The IS Project Manager will be part of a centralized IS Project Management Office which provides a consistent project management methodology and supports |

|multiple disciplines throughout UW Health. |

| |

|He/she will work with IS Management and business sponsors to determine and coordinate the project lifecycle. This includes, creating the project scope, determining |

|the resources required, estimating the project costs, defining the project schedule, assigning tasks, scope control, project communications, implementation, and the |

|turnover to production support |

| |

|The IS Project Manager will work closely with business sponsors to evaluate the business scope/objectives, assess impacts to the project and develop the most |

|cost-effective and efficient solutions. The IS Project Manager will collaborate with all areas of Information Systems to ensure appropriate technical resources are |

|assigned to the project. |

| |

|In addition to managing concurrent small to medium sized IS projects of low to moderate complexity, the IS Project Manager functions as an expert resource in the |

|project management process. |

|MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES |

| |

|Position Responsibilities: |

|Plan, lead, coordinate, and collaborate with IS staff/management along with operational partners to lead projects through the appropriate phases of implementation and |

|support throughout the UW Health enterprise. |

|Organize and lead project teams; and work collaboratively with the project sponsor to meet project goals. |

|Consult with Project Sponsors to develop business requirements documents, develop project charters, work breakdown structures, project schedules and milestone plans, |

|risk management, communication plans, issue logs and decision logs. |

|Coordinate and facilitate project team meetings, including agenda preparation, documentation of meeting discussion, and follow up items. Provide ongoing communication |

|about project decisions. |

|Effectively and consistently applies our methodology and project standards. |

|Escalate “at risk" tasks or issues in accordance to the PMO Escalation process. |

|Gather status input from team members, maintain the project schedule, and publish status reports to project and PMO stakeholders. |

|Identify, document, communicate, track and resolve issues to help the team meet project objectives. Maintain project documentation for future reference and audit |

|requirements. |

|Participate in the development of training content for IS Department training sessions. |

|Promote effective teamwork and the spirit of partnership. |

|Schedule and facilitate post implementation reviews, lessons learned exercises, project closure activities. |

|Stay abreast of industry standards, best practices and regulations as it relates to the projects assigned. |

|Tracks and reports team hours on a regular basis. |

|Works in conjunction with other team members to develop and refine internal processes as it relates project management, leading internal workgroups as appropriate. |

|Work with functional managers regarding time commitments for staff assigned to the projects. |

|Attend and participate in regional conferences and seminars to stay current with Project Management methodologies. (e.g., UGM, Advisory Councils, PMI Development) |

|Education |Minimum |Bachelor’s Degree |

| |Preferred |Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, Business, or related field strongly |
