JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITY STATEMENT

1. POST TITLE: Administration Assistant – Ticket Office

1. ROLE AND PURPOSE OF POSITION

Working as Administration Assistant to the Ticket office of the Munster Branch IRFU, answering and directing calls, providing administrative support as required and as capacity allows.

2. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

Operational: Ticket Sales Manager

Functional: Chief Executive

4. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

Department Heads

Management Team

Rugby Department

IRFU Staff Hume House, 56 & 62 Lansdowne Road

5. KEY QUALITIES

Essential:

• Excellent communication, organisation and teamwork skills.

• A minimum of intermediate knowledge of MS office packages, Word and Excel in particular will be required for the role.

• A minimum of 2 years administration experience working within a fast paced customer focused environment

Desirable:

• Experience of cash handling and reconciling large volumes of cash and cheques

6. RESPONSIBILITIES

General areas of responsibility include:

▪ To Provide excellent customer services to all Munster Rugby stakeholders and the general public including ensuring all queries are responded to in a courtesy and timely manner

▪ To follow ticket office procedures and policies to ensure tickets are allocated, all payments received and distributed within strict deadlines

▪ Assist Ticket Office Manager as required

▪ Working within the Ticket office to actively improve Customer Services and income generation

7. PERFORMANCE MEASURES

▪ Maintain effective relationships with staff within the Munster Branch

IRFU and Thomond Park Stadium Co. Ltd

▪ Carry out duties and responsibilities with limited supervision

▪ Establish efficient work practices

▪ Make effective and informed decisions in relation to the role

▪ Portray a competent and professional image on behalf of the Munster

Branch IRFU
