Marketing & Community Affairs Manager (Full Time)Esol EducationStarting Date: August 2019OVERVIEW This is a challenging and exciting, multifaceted role for an experienced and innovative marketing professional looking to make a long-term impact in a community-centered organization. As the Marketing & Community Affairs Manager of our school in Dubai, you will be responsible for developing positive relationships between our school and the wider community. You will also play a critical role in the development and execution of the school’s content strategy, helping to define and create engaging materials that provide value to our audiences and grow the school brand. The position will require you to be highly motivated, outgoing and personable, with a solid understanding of translating digital communication dynamics into real world results; you will support school leadership with external and internal parent engagement programs, developing, managing and administering a cohesive communication and marketing strategy. Your role also involves community building and a management position, supporting all school communications through professionally presented material which adheres to brand guidelines, handling website updates, school newsletters, alumni programs, event marketing and public relations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Implementing awareness campaigns for Esol Education’s international school in Dubai.Supporting the school’s admissions team with enrollment efforts, overseeing parent and student outreach through public relations, online marketing (search, social media, specialist websites, etc.), digital and real-world community building, strategic partnerships and one-to-one parent event and activation programs.Overseeing and implementing brand standards for school level communication initiatives including developing collateral, setting processes and templates for communication material and digital asset management.Managing all school communications including: Planning and updating content for the schools’ website using an existing CMS, and working with the web agency and IT teams to ensure smooth site management.Creating and updating school brochures, admissions packets and teacher recruitment materials.Planning and managing the school’s social media accounts according to a strategic content calendar including creating and curating text, photo and video content.Managing, writing, editing, creating and sending the schools’ weekly online newsletters, coordinating with school teams for news and content.Designing and implementing internal awareness programs about school initiatives, events, etc. with posters and emails.Working with press and PR agencies to implement strategic PR program and identify ongoing PR opportunities with school activities, student achievements, guest visits and major school events including press and photo releases, interview features, thought leadership pieces. ESSENTIAL SKILLS Excellent English copywriting, editing and proofreading skillsStrong design aestheticUnderstanding of using a CMS for website management and online newslettersManagement of social channels such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube – creating and curating content, social influence buildingUnderstanding of online marketing and measurement metricsKnowledge of advertising platforms such as Facebook, Google Adwords and measurement platforms such as Google AnalyticsKnowledge of social platforms such as HootsuiteBasic graphic design, photo editing and retouching skills with a working knowledge of Adobe PhotoshopFamiliarity of DTP software such as Adobe InDesign with audio/video editing using iMovie or FCP would be a plus QUALITIES Committed to achieving best practice communicationsDedicated to continually learning and updating skills using the latest platforms, tools and technologiesExcellent interpersonal skillsOrganized and able to work independentlyWorking quickly and accurately under pressureMotivated and results-drivenLeadership and influencing skills EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS 5 years of client-side PR and marketing experience in K-12 Education or Healthcare industry OR agency-side experience working with family-focused brands and products, responsible for marketing, communications, public relations, community management, basic graphic design.Must be digitally fluent with hands on experience in building and managing social media channelsBachelor’s Degree in Marketing Communications, Journalism or related field of studyStart Date: August 2019Salary Range: AED 10,000 – 12,500 per monthApply: ................
