Using Folder Browser

Click the folder icon to open or close the left sidebar (Folder Browser).

When it's done, you will see a number (e.g. "2") in the in the parenthesis, as well as the "Busy" status changes to "Idle" and the kernel indicator turns white.

Running a Cell within a Notebook

Highlight a cell (click in the cell) you want to run. You will notice blue bar next the cell you selected. Click on the run icon to run the cell.

Restarting the Kernel

If you are "stuck" and need to start over, then restart the kernel by: Kernel -> Restart Kernel and Clear All Outputs...

While the code in the cell is running, you will see:

? An asterisk in the parenthesis next to the cell,

? "Busy" status message

at

the bottom of the page, and

? The kernel indicator at top right

corner of the page

turns

gray.

USING JUPYTERLAB

While the kernel is restarting, kernel indicator (top right of the screen) will be gray. Depending on the notebook, it may take a few seconds. Once done, you will notice all outputs are now gone and the indicator is back to white.
