This is not a school sponsored event2019 AHRS Project Graduation/Senior Party Dear Parents and Guardians:2019 represents the 37th year of a totally fun Amherst High tradition: Project Graduation (also known as Senior Party). Every year, on the evening after graduation, parents of both seniors and juniors have organized a great party to celebrate ARHS graduating seniors and give them a final chance to hang out and have fun. This is not a school-sponsored event! It happens every year with a lot of help from parents, business donors, and the entire community.The basic facts of the party are below:WHAT: Fantastic music (bring your own playlist!), dancing, great food and drinks, bounce houses and obstacle course, basketball, ping pong, henna tattoos, log slammer riding, games,?and tarot card reading.WHEN: Arrive between 10:30 PM and midnight on June 7 (graduation night); stay as late as 2:30 AM on June 8. You can leave early with a parent or in one of the shuttle vehicles that will be driving kids home, but you may not drive yourself to or from the event.WHERE: Hampshire Athletic Club, 90 Gatehouse Road?AmherstWHO: ARHS Graduating Seniors and up to one invited guest per senior (guests must be either juniors or seniors)HOW MUCH: Graduating seniors and their families are asked to?make a suggested donation of $50, but no senior will be turned away if they or their parent/guardian(s) cannot make a donation. Guests are required to pay $35 with?registration. Food and drinks will be plentiful throughout the night and early morning. Music and games will be part of the festivities. You’ll find the mandatory Senior/Guest Registration and Liability Waiver Form attached. Completed registration forms should be either dropped off at the ARHS office (including $50 donation, if possible, made out to ARHS Project Graduation and if you register a guest must include an additional $35) or mailed to: Tracy Farnham 181 North Street Belchertown MA 01007. Registrations must be received at the office by 3pm on Wednesday, June 5th. Location: Hampshire Athletic Club (HAC) 90 Gatehouse Road Amherst.Students may bring backpacks, clothing, Students may not bring drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, beverages, food, coolers, knives or other weapons, matches, lighters, or any other item or substance that is illegal or could pose a danger to participants. All belongings will be searched by chaperones. If banned items are found they will be removed and discarded. Confiscated items will not be returned.Substance Policy: No alcohol, drugs, or cigarettes will be allowed under any circumstances. Prior to entering, students and guests will be searched, any banned items will be confiscated, and the student in possession risks losing the privilege to attend. Anyone who arrives intoxicated will be denied entry. Arrival: Registered Seniors and Registered Guests will be admitted to the party on Friday, June 08, between 10:30 PM and midnight. No one will be admitted after midnight. Guests must arrive with their senior host. Items should be limited to a small bag or backpack that can be easily searched.Departure: All participants must depart no later than Saturday, June 8th at 2:30 AM. Students must take everything with them when they leave. You may not return to the party once you have left.Transportation: Participants must be dropped off at HAC; they may not drive themselves there. Every person departing the event will be given a ride by one of the designated parent drivers who will be available to shuttle participants from the party to their homes. Parents/guardians may also pick up a child, but no student or guest may drive, leave unescorted, or walk home. Rides will be available only within Amherst, Pelham, Leverett, and Shutesbury. Students living outside of these towns must be picked up or dropped off at a home in one of these towns with parental permission. Security: Parent volunteers will assist in setting up and guarding the venue before the party. Volunteer parent security patrols will be present throughout the night. Guests: The party is given by parents for graduating seniors from Amherst Regional High School. Each senior is welcome to bring one guest in grades 11 or 12; a guest registration fee of $35 is required. Seniors and their guests must arrive together. Guests may leave earlier than their host but may not stay later than their host. All guests must be registered by their host in advance, and these registrations require two signatures! See deadlines above. First Aid: Medical personnel will be available at all times for any medical needs or emergencies. All medications to be taken during the party must be dropped off at the First Aid tent and picked up when leaving. Medication doses must be taken at the First Aid tent. The only exceptions are “rescue” treatments like inhalers and EpiPens. Please notify us of your child’s medical needs by emailing: tqfarnham@. All parents, by signing the registration form, indicate their availability by telephone in the event of a medical emergency.Evacuation Plan: HAC staff have an evacuation plan to ensure an orderly removal of all participants from the premises in the unlikely event that this is necessary. In such an event, all shuttle volunteers will be called in immediately to provide rides home for all participants. By signing this agreement, you, participant and parent, give up your right to bring a court action to recover compensation or obtain any other remedy from Hampshire Athletic Club, and/or any parent or student volunteer (herein called “The Organizers”) contributing to the delivery of the Amherst-Pelham Regional High School “Project Graduation” Party (herein called “The Event”), for any injury to yourself, your child, or your property, or for you/your child’s death however caused, arising out of you/your child’s participation in The Event, now or at any time in the future.Hampshire Athletic Club (herein called “HAC”) is an athletic club business and includes, its trustees, employees, volunteer workers,participants, agents and invitees, as well as the staff and management of HAC. I, participant, (hereafter included in “WE”) freely choose to participate in The Event at The Venue. WE agree to abide by all rules, regulations, and practices as established by The Organizers or posted by The Venue, or otherwise made known, and to minimize any risk of injury.Despite precautions, accidents and injuries can and will occur. WE understand that participation in The Event is potentially dangerous and that I/my child may be injured and/or lose or damage personal property as a result of my/my child’s participation in The Event.
