He became interested in using firearms for self-defense after the Virginia Tech incident in 2007. While learning about gun laws he realized how convoluted and slanted they are against gun owners and decided he needed to do what he could to help make changes.Leon got involved with Firearm Owners Against Crime during the push for expanded castle doctrine legislation and has been working with the organization ever since.
