Digraph Sounds

Print pages 3-5. You may want to print two copies of pages 4-5 or simply have the students reshuffle the cards when they

reach the bottom of the draw pile.

Gather small place markers for each player.

Due to availability of pictures for the digraph sound ¡°ph¡±, words in the have a medial ¡°ph¡± sound rather than an onset.

Digraph Sounds

For 2-4 Players

Instructions:

Place your marker on the ¡°Start¡±. Place cards upside down on the ¡°Card Draw Pile¡±.

Choose a player to go first.

The player will draw the top card from the pile then move to the next space that contains the

same digraph sound. Play continues to the next player.

If a player lands on a space with an arrow, he will follow the arrows to the new space.

If a ¡°Star¡± card is drawn the player will head to the closest ¡°Star¡± space, even if it is behind him.

To win by landing on the last space, a player MUST draw a card that would be shows a word

that has the digraph ¡°wh¡±.
