Announcing OverDrive at Neshaminy!

The Library Media Specialists with the generous support of Dr. Heble are proud to announce the addition of OverDrive, a digital circulation system for the secondary Library/Media Centers. We are the first school district in Bucks County to provide free eBooks for personal eReaders. This system is maintained by the secondary Library Media Specialists with the support of Todd Perry, IT Department.

Starting today, Neshaminy’s secondary students can download eBooks and audiobooks to their personal devices, including computers, eBook readers, iPods, iPads, and smart phones. Students can expect more titles as our collection grows each year. The collection is developed to support curriculum and to motivate student’s personal reading.

Secondary teachers also have accounts and may download to any school computer that is not shared with others. Teachers can also download digital content to their personal devices. At this time, eBooks and audio books can not be downloaded to shared computers. This means that we can not use the library computers to access these materials.

Available in the libraries is the attached handout that provides “Getting Started” directions. More directions and help for downloading are available on the OverDrive site. Links to OverDrive are available on the secondary Library pages on SchoolWires. Contact your Library Media Specialist for support.
