The following information will assist you to properly permit your Boat Dock on a Department-owned property (regulation 301 KAR 1:016). All persons who currently have a Boat Dock or wish to construct or rebuild a dock on Beaver, Boltz, Bullock Pen, Carpenter, Corinth, Elmer Davis, Guist Creek, Kincaid, Kingfisher or Malone lakes must apply for a Boat Dock Permit. There is a $100.00 fee for a 10-year permit period (1/1/18 ? 12/31/27) which is pro-rated for every year remaining in the 10-year permit period.

For an Existing Non-permitted Boat Dock on Department Property

1. Submit to the department a completed Boat Dock Application and permit fee. 2. If your boat dock was constructed prior to July 1, 2009, it shall be grandfathered for the life of the boat

dock. Unapproved boat docks constructed after July 1, 2009 will not be grandfathered and may result in legal action and removal of the structure. 3. After receiving your permit application and fee, Department personnel will conduct an on-site visit to determine if the existing boat dock complies with specifications set forth in 301 KAR 1:016. 4. If approved, you will then receive your Boat Dock Permit tag that must be placed on the front edge of the dock facing the lake.

year from the date of the construction approval letter. 5. After construction is completed, you must notify the Department. 6.
