The Office of Talent Management – Learning & Development (TMLD) consists of more than 60 Learning and Talent specialists. Talent Management leadership works closely with the Executive Leadership Team to ensure that we attract, recruit, develop and retain superior talent to create a high performing workforce. Our learning and talent strategy supports all aspects of talent alluded to in the agency strategic goals and key initiatives. Our learning initiatives are focused on ensuring the ongoing development of skills and abilities of our Program and Support staff in their quest to meet the needs of our customers—2 million citizens of the state of Tennessee. This position reports to the Talent Management – Learning & Development Assistant Director with direct responsibility to The Director Talent Management. Position Responsibilities:Administrative & Project Support for Director & Assistant Director Talent Management – Learning & Development Leadership (Director 4 – Learning Operations & 5 Program Directors) - 50%Along with ASA Administrative unit, administratively support overall Talent Management Director and Learning & Development division of 60 employees, including assisting five Director 2 and 2 Director 4 and Assistant Director TM with administrative tasks and projects for divisionAssist with scheduling for Director Talent Management – Learning & Development and Program Director 4, Learning and DevelopmentAssist in planning and creating marketing and recruitment media and materials Assist with Talent Review process /Learning and Development administrative activitiesAssisting with agency-wide initiatives requiring administrative support Review division’s weekly newsletter submission and create graphics to coordinate with the copy as well as creating a graphic for the weekly training scheduleMember of new intranet site committee, responsible for TMLD division updates and revisionsAssist Director with a plan for Wellness, Engagement and Culture for TMLD Managing Production Unit - 40% (Annual Average of 750,000 print pages)Reporting to the Assistant Dir TM, Supervise one (1) ASA2 position and two(2) ASA3 positions, including managing all production work from tech team which supplies all of the learning and development training participant guides for federally mandated and professional development learningManage all Direct Bill processes and procedures for all DHS in-house travel and hotel reservationsEvaluate and streamline all processes and procedures for maximum efficiency and organization for administrative unitReorganize Production and Direct Bill/Reservations unit to maximize productivityObtain and track customer service data for Direct Bill and Hotel stays to evaluate service levelsOffice Manager Duties - 10%Organize and plan division events and meetingsManage effective communicate between director and division staff with all updates and changesUpdate and create contact, anniversary, and birthday & anniversary recognition processEngagement coordinator--responsible for planning division events Position Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university 5+ years’ of full-time increasingly responsible professional staff administrative experience2 years of managerial/supervisory experience preferredAdvanced level competency of Microsoft Office Suite productsAbility to Work in a Fast-Paced, Multi-Tasking EnvironmentCompetencies: Customer-FocusedWritten CommunicationProblem SolvingInnovation ManagementBuilding Effective TeamProcess ManagementInformation regarding State of Tennessee benefits: How to Apply: ??Please submit resume and cover letter outlining your related experience to talent.management.dhs@ by January 08, 2019.
