Any extra credit offered will be for the entire class and will not amount to more than 5% of the semester grade.Homework Policy:Homework will be given on a daily basis and reviewed in class the following day. Your goal should be to attempt all problems, by the assigned due date, so they may be discussed for the benefit of the class. You will occasionally be given a graded homework assignment. These will be on material that you already have had the opportunity to ask questions about. No late work will be accepted. Absence & Tardiness:When absent from class you are expected to make up any missing work in a timely manner (maximum one day for each day missed). If prolonged absence occurs, special arrangements will be made. Parents are required to excuse all absences within 48 hours by calling Attendance at 723-2799. Failure to do so will result in an unexcused absence. An unexcused absence will result in a zero. If you are tardy on the day of a quiz or test, you will be expected to use the remaining class time to take the assessment. If you have an excused absence for the day of a quiz or test you must make arrangements to make it up as soon as possible. It is your responsibility to make up all work missed due to your absence. Any work not made up will be given a zero. You may find out what you missed by looking on my website or the assignment board. Do not disrupt class time to get absent work!You are expected to be in class on time. When the bell rings you are to be in your seat, if not you will be marked tardy. If you accumulate 3 tardies a detention will be issued and every multiple of 3 after that. On the 11 tardy, you lose credit for this course.Reassessment PolicyNo retakes on quizzes or tests will be permitted.Testing Policy:Aids: No aids to be used except in the case of documented IEP or 504 Plan accommodations.Time Limit: Assessments will not exceed one class period. No additional time provided except in the case of documented IEP or 504 Plan accommodations.Academic Integrity Policy:Chippewa Valley Schools academic integrity policy will be adhered to as described in the student code of conduct. You should always have your class notes out when completing assignments. You are expected to take notes as they help you tremendously with your homework and study skills. My expectations of you are high - math is a cumulative subject and you need to always be at your best. You will need to be an “active learner” to achieve at your highest level. If you feel you are starting to struggle – don’t wait to do something it will only snowball like an avalanche!
