Advance Placement United States History (APUSH) SyllabusMark Ewing- Seminar Room/Room 214Expectations:This course serves the dual purpose of meeting the graduation requirement for American History II and serving as preparation for students to take the APUSH exam on May 11, 2018. Due to the exam being a month before the end of school the class will by necessity move at an expedited pace. The class will require daily reading and weekly writing to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to pass the AP exam. The exam is not no longer mandatory but the cost is covered by the state. A passing score on the exam can result in the awarding of as much as six hours of college credit in United States History depending upon the institution. The AP exam itself has no impact on the student grade in the course.
