Four of the five Zone clubs are meeting virtually.What were the main opportunities and solutions? All clubs reporting, they are looking for additional service and funding projects that can be conducted in a COVID-19 environment. Most promising: working with local agencies (Food Bank, plus continued participating in the Matthew 25 initiative to collect / donate Pill Bottle for global distribution etc.) to find what may be non-traditional service projects.What plan of action were decided upon? Clubs are encouraged to formalize membership development plans and to share their success stories with their Zone neighbors IAW NAMI guidelines. 3.a. Are any of the Global Action Members (district support teams) going to assist? Yes GMT coordinator and NAMI lead participated in this meeting. Social media coordinator training overview for social media training. Each club is encouraged Both offered their continuing support to zone clubs.Continued to support the NOVA S&H Mobile Van by donating to the NOVA in response to the NOVA S&H survey requesting clubs if they would support this effort and explain how? Each club responded stating they would provide financial donation and one stated it would provide a driver.Best success stories/practices shared? Several clubs noted good success using Zoom for meetings. Clubs were reaching out to their communities using social media. 4.a. By whom? Alexandria Asian American (Club’s proposed scholarship program), Alexandria Host (Provide Alexandria Middle School lunch meals), Alexandria Lincolnia Stamp for Veteran Program), and Falls Church -Annandale Clubs (Contine to sponsor the local Lions of Virginia Bland Youth Music Contest. Continue supporting Eyeglass Recycling Center)What can the district do to further support the club officers? Expect to request GST representation at upcoming zone meeting.Conduct some LCI and MY LCI/Lion training at the regional or Zone level. Many individual members are unable to attend Conference trainingIntegrate My LION and LCI training must identify focus service areas: Diabetes, Visual, Hunger, Environment and Childhood Cancer. Forward this report to the district governor, District GLT, GMT and GST Coordinators and Region Chairpersons. ................
