Each quarter, the list of youth is compared to the reports from the three prior quarters. All youth whose birthday falls during the report period will be included along with any youth who are new to foster care. Any youth who received a check during the prior three quarters will not be included. The county responsible is assigned in the following order:Primary case assignment countyPlacement episode removal countyState ID countyReports Provided by Credit Reporting Agencies:Each credit reporting agency (CRA) provides CDWAB with an output file that is consolidated into one data file. A spreadsheet is then created with each tab containing a county’s list of clients and the following information:Client IDCase IDResponsible AgencyA column for each CRAEach CRA column will display one of the following: yes, no, or an asterisk (*).A “yes” means that this youth had a credit history reported by the specified CRA, while a “no” means that this youth did not have a credit history reported. If there is an asterisk in any of the CRA columns, then the youth’s file was not processed due to incomplete data. The county must contact the CRA directly and submit a credit report request on behalf of the youth. Each quarter, the spreadsheet will be uploaded to CWDAB’s Extranet for distribution.Update for Quarter 4, 2017:Following the Equifax data breach in late 2017, each youth will receive a credit check twice a year – one during the quarter of their birthday and one during the quarter of their half birthday – starting with the Quarter 4, 2017 report until the Quarter 4, 2018 report.CWSdata@dss. ................
