2017-2018 EOP Fact Sheet

Educational Options Program (EOP) is a program designed to allow adults to earn credits towards a high school diploma. In order to qualify for EOP, interested adults must be 17 years of age or older (no upper age limit), and have earned 8 or more high school credits prior to enrolling. * EOP students cannot be enrolled in traditional day school. The program is offered three times a year from October through June at the four locations listed below. Adults have an opportunity to earn 6 or more credits towards graduation each academic year. *The number of credits you need to graduate from EOP varies depending on the year you first entered 9th grade. Example: Sara Joe entered 9th grade in 1985. Her graduation requirements are 21.50 credits. She will need 7 credits to enroll into EOP.

The School District of Philadelphia's EOP sites are the proud recipient of the Counseling for Access to Postsecondary Success (CAPS) grant awarded by the US Department of Education. The program provides the following FREE services:

College visits Assistance with selecting and applying for colleges, universities, and vocational-

technical schools Selecting a career or area of study Registering for classes Preparing for placement tests Financial aid assistance (i.e. FAFSA, scholarships, loan counseling)

Who is eligible for CAPS?

EOP students 19 years of age or older Those who meet income guidelines Parent/guardian did not earn college degree
