Math * Depending on where you live in the neighbourhood the house numbers you will be collecting will be different sizes. Depending on whose math group you are in, you will be working with different sized numbers. Depending on the size of the house numbers you collected you may need to either increase the size of the number or decrease the size of the number. To increase the number size: Roll a die and add the number to the beginning or the end of the house number you are using. Repeat until you get to the size of number you need to work with.To decrease the number size: Take off a number from the beginning or the end of the number until you get the size of the number you need to work with.Mrs. Gurney and Mrs. Singh’s math groups: Work with 2 digit numbers and then try 3 digit numbers to challenge yourself.Mrs. Martin’s math group: Work with numbers in the thousands, try numbers in the ten thousands to challenge yourself.Mrs. Garland’s math group: Work with numbers in the ten thousands, try numbers in the hundred thousands to challenge yourself.Mrs. Tidsbury’s math group: Work with numbers in the millions, try numbers in the ten millions to challenge yourself.When you complete your work:* Use the strategies you used in class – decomposition for addition, number line, 90/10, negative numbers for subtraction. Criteria: 5-7 sentencesFind a quote a motivational quote that you think has important meaning especially given what is happening. Tell what you think the quote means and why it would be good right now! Journal: write a letter to yourself about what you would do if the pandemic was over today. Remember to tell why you would do this. Use the criteria that you have learned for letter writing. ................
